COMMENTS: The left median distal motor latency is delayed with a normal amplitude and conduction velocity. The right median and bilateral ulnar motor and F-wave studies are within normal limits. Bilateral median sensory latencies are delayed with normal amplitude. Bilateral ulnar sensory studies are within normal limits.

EMG: The monopolar needle examination reveals evidence of denervation in bilateral C5-6 paraspinal muscles.

IMPRESSION: The electrodiagnostic study is abnormal. There is electrophysiological evidence of bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome, demyelinating, worse on the left side and bilateral C5-6 nerve root irritation.
